10-Step Process

What sets Bright Red Fish apart from event planners is that we don’t just plan events, we design and build them, making us truly architects of brand experience.  Below is a glimpse of our exclusive 10-step process that has been resulting in memorable, meaningful and business-building events as long as we’ve been in business. And that is a long time.

1. DISCOVERY

  • Conduct audits with executive teams to define goals, challenges, event purpose, objectives and success criteria
  • Conduct field surveys via one-on-one interviews and focus groups with prospective audience to gain a workable understanding of the organization’s culture, an evaluation of past events and the drivers for attendance or non-attendance.

2. ASSESSMENT

Analyse results to identify gaps between organization beliefs and objectives and those of their audience.

3. PLANNING

Develop a strategic plan to bridge the gaps.   Experience has shown that in the majority of cases the organization is out of       sync with the needs and expectations of their audience.  Valuable resources are wasted by not delivering on expectations and missing opportunities to generate value for attendees.

4. RESEARCH

Identify speakers that can articulately present compelling content in an actionable, informative and entertaining manner.

5. BUDGET

Negotiate and secure speaker contracts to work within budget guidelines.   Help create briefing and tender documents for external suppliers such as technical production, pco’s and event marketing.

6. PREPARATION

Brief speakers, prepare session summaries and bios to support theme and inspire attendance.  Assist non professional speakers with the preparation and delivery of their presentations.

7. COMMUNICATION

Oversee marketing activities, working closely with client marketing teams and outside agencies, and to assure strategy is successfully communicated in a way that is compelling and meaningful, thus increasing attendance and image of host organization.

8. SUPPORT

Provide strategic support as needed for all aspects of events to the client events team to help streamline all tasks and increase efficiencies.

9. EVALUATION

Prepare the content of post-event evaluation questionnaires to help clients maximize learning potential and assess each session’s success and the overall event’s ability to deliver actionable  new ideas and ensure participants have received value for the time and money invested in attending the event.

10. RECOMMENDATION

Conduct post event research and key stakeholder reviews to develop post event activities to increase the effective life and value of the event and establish criteria for future events.
