About

One of Australia’s thought leaders for the events industry, Wendy Hand, principal of Bright Red Fish, has been helping organizations in all industries produce memorable, and actionable events for diverse groups of constituents for the past 20 plus years.  Her success is based on building events that go far beyond lining up speakers to fill a given time period.  Wendy and her team spend hours exploring the attitudes and needs of the targeted attendees – stakeholders, membership, employees and more – to determine content and experiences that are not just meaningful, but compelling and inspiring.  As a result, all BRF events are architected much like a marketing campaign, with strategic elements that create a solid plan with measureable outcomes aligned with business goals.   This approach is largely based on Wendy’s success in corporate marketing as well as events.

Wendy Hand began her career in marketing in fmcg’s (fast moving consumer goods).  Between 1987 and 2006 Wendy founded and headed a successful full-service event production and project management company operating in Australia and producing events globally.  Wendy has a proven track record in business development, client management, employee communications and business building.  A key feature is her ability to build and manage multi-skilled teams including technical, creative, administrative and production for logistically complicated projects successfully delivered for a range of blue chip corporate clients from industries as diverse as financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, hospitality and retail across more than 15 countries.
